J’s musical journey began in a Duluth MN. Being the son of a musician, J quickly became absorbed with the moving power of music. In the early 90s J witnessed the birth of Techno music. He quickly became immersed in the fresh sound, and gear, which this innovative time for music created.
J’s love of techno music carried with it a deep appreciation of analog gear, which J still uses as tools in his arsenal. Fusing together years of treasured analog technology, with new computer based methods J utilizes every ounce of his experiences, and his gear to create organic and original songs.
J is the mastermind behind all of his tracks. He writes and performs virtually all of his material. J’s appreciation for all genres is apparent in his music, and echoes his ideal that music should be free of limitations. J considers himself a purist, and doesn’t categorize his music because it’s forever evolving.

This was due to a transition out of the frozen tundra (MN), and other “things” I won’t mention - I am now living in LA, California. A great friend of my from back in the day, Ryan Becken of “Eye Hustle Entertainment” directed a Commercial for a contest with “Grainbelt” Beer. He used one of my electronic tracks Xtro for the background music, and some crappy happy trance I made for him. They won first place and got a years supply of free beer. I am sure most of you are wondering if I got free beer too. No just the glory baby. 
At the request of my good friend Ryan Becken of Eye Hustle Entertainment, I created a song for the ending of a contest video he did for Summit Beer. It was a short skit about some guy who wears a box on his head, and is bummed about life till he pounds a beer at the end - which is right when this song starts. [...]
